Najwa Alharbi is interested in improving PHA properties to be more elastic and easier to work with. One way to improve polyester properties is to incorporate different functional groups such as bromo, olefin and phenyl groups with their monomers, especially with medium chain length (MCL)-PHAs. This modification would give the polymer improved characteristics.
